About Dorking

Dorking is in the borough of the delightfully named Mole Valley. This beautifully picturesque rural town is situated right in the heart of the Surrey hills. The two most visited hills in Dorking are Box Hill and Leith Hill, which when at the top of both you can see one from the other. Box Hill aptly names after its vast number of box trees, played its part in the cycling event when Britain hosted the 2012 Olympics. Part of one of the courses was cycling up and over Box Hill, which is why you will see a regular stream of cyclists whist there, as they eagerly attempt the Olympic course.

Situated on the other side of Dorking is Leith Hill. When at the summit you will be at one of the highest points in the South East of England. With at in mind you can imagine how spectacular the views are. On a clear day from one side you can see London and on the other you can see as far as the English Channel.

A must see in Dorking is Denbie Wine Estate. Denbie is an international award winning vineyard established in 1984. It is the largest in the UK at 265 acres and has been visited and admired by Royalty on several occasions.
