About Isle of Man

The Isle of Man is a beautiful island located between the shores of Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland. It is gifted with a temperate climate, broad coastline, gorgeous landscapes and pristine beaches, making it an ideal holiday destination. Emerging privately operated space travel firms are based here, including participants of the Google Lunar XPRIZE, a space competition sponsored by Google. The island is also internationally associated with motorcycle racing. It is famous for the TT, or the Tourist Trophy Race that started in 1907. It is a major motorcycle-racing event that takes place each May.

Balladoole – The island is rich in landscapes and historic monuments, but Balladoole is one of its most significant monuments because it was used for burial and defense aside from habitation. In 1945, a 10th century Viking boat burial was discovered in the site.

Castle Rushen – This is one of the most magnificent castles in Europe. It was built in 1265 and was once the residence of the Lords and Kings of Mann. Discover the rich history and culture of the island as you visit Rushen and the other fortresses.
